Lidia Ghirmay

she/her

Lidia Ghirmay (she/her) is a junior majoring in HSHM with a Global Health Certificate. She was born and raised in Asmara, Eritrea, later lived in Kampala, Uganda for a while, and moved to the US at the age of 12. She now lives in Las Vegas, a place she often has to clarify is more than just the Strip. Outside of the Good Life Center, Lidia engages in public health research, serves as Co-Vice President of the Yale Eritrean-Ethiopian Student Association, volunteers with the HAVEN Free Clinic, and works as a staffer at the Yale Women’s Center. In her free time, Lidia enjoys binge-watching Turkish dramas, discovering new R&B music, spending time with friends, and going on coffee runs—you can probably find her at the Elm on any given day.
